At the Treigning Lab, our Performance Suite utilizes advanced biometric tools to construct a detailed 'Athlete Avatar', providing a comprehensive profile that includes body weight, fat percentage, hydration levels, and caloric thresholds. Tools like biometric scales and the Metabolic Cart play pivotal roles in this process. The Metabolic Cart helps us assess crucial physiological markers such as VO2 Max, resting metabolic rate (RMR), and heart rate metrics (Resting Heart Rate, Max Heart Rate, Heart Rate Reserve) to optimize training efficiency and performance output. We also integrate assessments for nutrient deficiencies and psychological factors that can impact an athlete’s training regimen. This holistic approach is supported by research indicating that tailored nutritional and psychological interventions, based on precise biomarker data, can significantly enhance athletic performance (Smith-Ryan et al., 2021; Jones, 2019). These methodologies are crucial for developing targeted training programs that address the unique physiological and psychological needs of each athlete, fostering peak performance.
